High water levels are forecast as a result of spring tides. The first forecast high water is 21:30 on 09/04/2020 and the forecast tide level is 8.08 m AOD. The forecast wind is Force 2 North Easterly. The second forecast high water is 09:45 on 10/04/2020 and the forecast tide level is 8.11 m AOD. The forecast wind is Force 3 North Easterly. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth, mAOD is height above average sea level for more detail refer to local tide tables. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Severn Estuary at Oldbury-on-Severn, Northwick and Avonmouth including Aust and Old Passage. Our incident response staff are closing flood gates. Low pressure will cause sea levels to be higher than forecast in tide tables. Forecast high water is 21:30 on 12/03/20 with a level of 8.21 mAOD and a Force 7 West South Westerly wind. All times are local and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth gauge. The highest tidal peak was Wednesday night 11/03/2020 and now peaks are decreasing. Flooding to low lying roads and properties is possible. Consider installing property flood resilience equipment. Conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. There is a possibility of flooding for the Severn Estuary at Oldbury-on-Severn, Northwick and Avonmouth including Aust and Old Passage. We are closely monitoring the situation. The forecast wind is Force 3 in a South South easterly direction. The second high water is at 10:00 AM on Thursday 13th February and the forecast tide level is 8.01 m AOD. The forecast wind is force 5 in a Westerly South Westerly direction. Tide times and levels refer to high water at Avonmouth. Spray overtopping of sea defences is possible around this time, however conditions may apply two to three hours either side of the high water. There is a possibility of flooding for the coastline at Oldbury-on-Severn, Northwick and Avonmouth. Strong onshore winds may cause tide levels to rise further. A large tidal surge is combining with spring tides. The forecast high water is 07:15 on 27/11/2019 and the forecast tide level is 7.78 m AOD. The forecast wind is Force 3 Easterley, however the wind may reach F6-F8 Southerley in some exposed locations. Tide times are in local time and refer to the high water time at Avonmouth. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Severn Estuary at Oldbury-on-Severn, Northwick and Avonmouth including Aust and Old Passage. We are closely monitoring the situation.
