High river levels on Tuesday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 03/02/2026 as more rain is forecast (up to 30mm). The river level is still falling after heavy rain yesterday (01/02/2026). There is potential for further heavy rain tomorrow (03/02/2026). Any further rain will lead to flooding at Durley School, areas around Durley Mill and Botley, where surface water flooding from the main road is possible . Botley Mill could be affected. No property flooding is currently expected from the river at Bishops Waltham. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce by 12:00 04/02/2026. This Flood Warning will remain in force while there is a risk of property flooding. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and will ensure the river is kept free of reported blockages. High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Sunday. Flooding is expected on 01 February 2026 from 21:00, as a lot of rain (27mm) fell on 01/02/2026. Flooding will affect Durley School. From 22:00, flooding may commence at Botley Mills Craft and Leisure Centre. Land, garden and outbuildings may be impacted at Durley Mill. High tide at Southampton is 1.93 mAOD (4.77mCD) at 22:45 01/02/2026. A normal tide. Rain is forecast to continue until 22:00 01/02/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in by 03:00 02/02/2026. We are checking rivers for blockages . Activate any flood protection products you may have . High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Tuesday. Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 from 07:00, as a lot of rain (28mm) fell on Tuesday. Flooding will affect Durley School. From 08:00 27/01/2026, flooding may commence at Botley Mills Craft and Leisure Centre. Land, garden and outbuildings may be impacted at Durley Mill. High tide at Southampton is 1.79 mAOD (4.52mCD) at 17:45 27/01/2026. A normal tide. Rain is forecast to continue until 09:00 27/01/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Durley and Botley by 13:00 27/01/2026. We are checking rivers for blockages . Activate any flood protection products you may have . The water level in the River Hamble at Durley and Botley is high and rising. In the last 10 hours, 33mm has been recorded at Bishops Waltham. This is a significant amount in a short period of time. Durley School could experience flood impacts imminently. From 08:30 this morning (27/11/24), flooding may commence at Botley Mills Craft and Leisure Centre. Land, garden and outbuildings may be impacted at Durley Mill. High tide at Southampton is at 08:25 with a forecast tide level of 2.04 mAOD (4.78m Chart Datum). This is a low spring tide. Rain clears to the east by 08:00 this morning but another 5mm may be recorded in this time. The river will remain very high until 15:00 today (27/11/24). We will ensure the river remains free of any reported blockages. We continue to monitor the forecast. We recommend installing flood protection if you have it. This Flood Warning will be updated by 18:00 on 27/11/24.

The water level in the River Hamble at Durley and Botley is high and rising. In the last 6 hours, heavy and intense rain has fallen with 28 mm recorded at Bishops Waltham. This is a significant amount in a short period of time. Durley School could experience flood impacts imminently. From 19:30 this evening, flooding may commence at Botley Mills Craft and Leisure Centre. Land, garden and outbuildings may be impacted at Durley Mill. High tide at Southampton this evening has just passed through. In order to aid sluice operation at Botley, the next high tide at Southampton is at 05:10 on 05/01/2024 with a forecast tide level of 1.18 mAOD (3.92m CD). This is a neap tide. The heaviest rain has now cleared the area. Showery conditions will continue until the early hours of Friday morning. The river will peak at 21:00 this evening (04/01/2024). We will ensure the River Hamble is clear of blockages. We recommend installing flood protection at Durley School and Botley Mills. This Flood Warning will be updated by 12:00 on Friday 05/01/2024.
