For 1 hour either side of high water, the tide will overtop sea walls and flood outbuildings nearest the estuary at Fawley Oil Refinery, the Sailing Club and pub at Ashlett. Property flooding is expected at Calshot, Hythe, Marchwood, Eling, the Itchen Estuary and Hamble. Flood Warnings are in force in these locations. After this tide the weather becomes more settled but minor impacts could continue until Thursday (11/04/2024). We continue to monitor the forecast. Road and car park flooding is expected at Ashlett Creek, Calshot Activity Centre, Hythe sea front, Promenade, Shore Road and High Street (Hythe); Magazine Lane (Marchwood), Woodmill Lane, Priory Road (St Denys), Quay and Rope Walk (Hamble), Shore Road (Warsash), outbuildings at Fawley Refinery, boat yards at Bursledon and Swanwick. After this tide‚ no further impacts are expected. We continue to monitor the forecast. At Priory Road, residents may wish to install flood protection. Water will come close to property nearest the estuary at Testwood and will affect boat yards at Bursledon.
