For 1 hour either side of high tide, water may just exceed the top of the main slipway, flooding the road at Lower Quay, Fareham. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will flood to a depth of 0.1 m. After this tide‚ the weather becomes more settled‚ so levels will reduce and no further impacts are expected. We continue to monitor the forecast. We recommend that cars do not park at the lower end of Wallington Shore Road. We will remove this message by 18:00 on 20/10/2024.

The total forecast tide is 5.25 metres Chart Datum (2.52 mAOD) at Portsmouth. For 30 minutes either side of high water, the tide could exceed the top of the main slipway and flood the road at Lower Quay, Fareham. Minor flooding at Eastern Parade is also expected. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will also flood to a depth of up to 5cm. No property flooding is expected. After this tide‚ the weather becomes more settled‚ so levels will reduce and no further impacts are expected. We continue to monitor the forecast. For 1 hour either side of high tide, water may just exceed the top of the main slipway, flooding the road at Lower Quay, Fareham. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will flood to a depth of 0.1m. A series of spring tides with similar flood impacts will be seen across the weekend. We will issue further advice. We continue to monitor the forecast. The weather increases tide table values by 0.54 m. The total forecast tide is 5.37 metres Chart Datum (2.64 mAOD) at Portsmouth. For 1 hour either side of high tide, water may just exceed the top of the main slipway, flooding the road at Lower Quay, Fareham. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will flood to a depth of 0.1 m. Spray overtopping and subsequent debris could affect the A27 at Portchester. At 00:47 on Thursday (03/08/2023)‚ the tide level remains elevated but will be lower than at Wednesday lunchtime. Currently it is unlikely that it will cause flooding to property‚ but we may issue further advice tomorrow (02/08/2023). We continue to monitor the forecast. We recommend that cars do not park at the lower end of Wallington Shore Road. We will remove this message by 18:00 on 02/08/2023.

For 30 minutes either side of high water, the tide could exceed the top of the main slipway and flood the road at Lower Quay, Fareham. Minor impact road flooding is also expected at Eastern Parade. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will also flood to a depth of up to 5cm. Its possible that some spray and wind blown debris could impact the A27 at Portchester. The lower end of Wallington Shore Road will flood up to a depth of 0.1m. Spray overtopping and debris will affect the A27 at Portchester. Tide levels remain a little elevated on Saturday 19/02/22 at 13:00, although any impacts from this tide are likely to be very minor. We may issue further advice tomorrow. Monday afternoon's tide at 12:00 on 10/02/2020 is higher than normal due to Storm Ciara which brings South Westerly Gale Force 8 winds and large waves. The weather increases tide table values by 0.6 m. The total forecast tide is 5.44 metres Chart Datum (2.71 mAOD) at Portsmouth. For 1 hour either side of high water, In Portchester, water will be very high up slipways and spray overtopping of sea defence walls is expected. Shingle and debris from overtopping will affect the A27 Southampton Road. In Fareham, at Town Quay, the tide is just enough to flood property and a Flood Warning is in force. The road at Eastern Parade will also flood. At 00:30 on 11/02/2020‚ the tide is lower, but may cause minor impacts and so we may issue further advice tomorrow. We continue to monitor the forecast.
