High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 11 February 2026 as a lot of rain (250mm) has fallen in January and February. Flooding is continuing to affect North Walls Recreation Ground and River Park. Winchester City Council have installed a number of flood barriers around Park Avenue, River Park, and Water Lane. Small amounts of rainfall are forecast for the next two days. Up to a further 30mm of rainfall is forecast on Friday (13/02/2026). River levels will remain high for the next few weeks. We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities . Don't put yourself or others at risk . Flood water could be deep. Winnall Moors Nature Reserve may be closed. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 13 February 2026 or as the situation changes.

High river levels on Monday may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 09 February 2026 as 15mm of rainfall is forecast.  Flooding could affect North Walls Recreation Ground and River Park. It is forecast to rain this afternoon (09/02/26), and further rain is forecast for the next couple of days. River levels and flood risk will remain high for the next few days. Winchester City Council have installed a number of flood barriers and will be installing further barriers today around Park Avenue, River Park and Water Lane.  We are liaising with emergency services and local authorities , including Winchester City Council regarding the installation of barriers.  Don't put yourself or others at risk . Flood water could be deep. Winnall Moors Nature reserve may be closed.  This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 11 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
