River Meon
Water levels in the River Meon are high, but have fallen since the heavy rainfall recorded on Thursday last week (05/03/2020). Heavy rainfall is forecast today (Monday 09/03/2020) with up to 20mm expected. If this rain affects the river, then overnight and into tomorrow (Tuesday 10/03/2020), surface water will flood roads at East Meon, Exton and Meonstoke. It may flood the footpath at the Millennium Meadows in Wickham. In West Meon, some properties will be affected by the combination of high river flows and high groundwater levels. We continue to monitor the forecast. This Flood Alert will be updated by 12:00 10/03/2020.

Unsettled conditions are set to continue until at least Thursday (12/03/2020) with light rain and showers but no significant rainfall totals. We continue to monitor the forecast and recommend that all residents remain prepared for flood impacts into the start of the new week. We will update this Flood Alert by 12:00 on Sunday 08/03/2020.
