River levels are forecast to rise at the Mordiford river gauge as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected to continue. A large amount of water remains on the flood plain. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Hampton Bishop.
Predicted peak:- Mordiford 4.9m to 5.4m Tuesday afternoon, 25/02/20.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.

River levels remain high and are rising at the Mordiford river gauge. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours which may cause levels to continue to rise. A large amount of water remains on the flood plain. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Hampton Bishop.
Levels are currently peaking at 4.72m at the Bredwardine river gauge and are rising at the Belmont, Old Wye Bridge, Mordiford and Ross on Wye river gauges.
Predicted peaks:- Belmont 4.9m to 5.3m overnight Sunday, Old Wye Bridge 4.6 to 5.1m Monday morning, Mordiford 4.8 to 5.1m Monday morning & Ross on Wye 4.2 to 4.6m Tuesday.

Levels at the Bredwardine, Belmont Old Wye Bridge, Mordiford & Ross on Wye river gauges are predicted to rise this evening, Saturday, 22/2/2020.
Predicted peaks:- Mordiford 4.3 to 4.7m overnight.
Due to forecast rain a further higher peak is expected to occur on Monday into Tuesday.

This Severe Warning remains in force because of flooding cutting off the area.
River levels remain high at the Mordiford river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Hampton Bishop.
The Mordiford river gauge peaked at 5.5m at 12:30 on Monday 17/02/20. Further rainfall is forecast Friday night into Saturday, 22/02/20, which may cause river levels to rise at the Mordiford river gauge to between 4.3 and 4.8m on Sunday 23/02/20.
Forecast rainfall between Saturday morning, 22/02/20 and Monday, 24/02/2020 may cause river levels to remain high. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are liaising with emergency services.
