River level at Mordiford river gauge peaked at 5.23m Sunday evening 27/10/19, and levels are currently peaking at Ross on Wye at 4.7m. We expect river levels to remain high but fall slowly over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in and around Hereford and Ross on Wye. Predicted peaks:- Mordiford 5.2m to 5.3m Sunday afternoon, Ross on Wye 4.4m to 4.6m Monday morning. River levels have risen at the Old Wye Bridge river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. Flooding is affecting properties and roads in North Hereford including Greyfriars area. Predicted peak:- Old Wye Bridge 5.3m to 5.7m on Sunday morning 27/10/19. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
