There could be flooding of low-lying land and roads, and overtopping from spray or waves in exposed locations. The next highest water levels are expected between Friday evening and early Saturday morning. Further disruption is possible on Sunday evening. Furthermore, a period of heavy rain on Friday evening and night could cause flooding impacts from rivers and surface water, especially in the south of Aberdeenshire. Particularly at risk are urban areas and the transport network. Impacts may include flooding to low-lying land and roads, with difficult driving conditions. Isolated properties may also be at risk.

On Tuesday afternoon, and overnight into Wednesday, a period of persistent and occasionally heavy rain, and a thaw of lying hill snow, could lead to localised flooding impacts and transport disruption from rivers, small watercourses and surface water. The highest risk is in the west of the area and areas within the Cairngorms National Park.

The greatest risk is around the time of high tide, which at Fraserburgh occurs around 02:00 and 14:00 on Wednesday, and 02:30 on Thursday.
