River levels remain high on the New Romney Sewage Arm due to heavy rainfall on Sunday night and Monday morning, 26 February. Areas most at risk include locations along the New Romney Sewage Arm, particularly on and around Coast Drive. The forecast is for mainly dry weather over the next few days. River levels are expected to remain high this evening and overnight into Tuesday, 27 February. We continue to monitor the situation and our incident response staff are out on the ground checking structures and clearing debris from the rivers. Continue to act on your flood plan if you have one. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 9am on 27 February, or as the situation changes.
New Romney Sewage Arm
River levels remain high on the New Romney Sewage Arm due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include locations around the New Romney Sewage Arm, particularly on and around Coast Drive. No further heavy rainfall is forecast for today although river levels are expected to remain high, and the risk of flooding will remain throughout today 26/02/2024. We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and we are liaising with emergency services and local authorities. Continue to act on your flood plan if you have one. River levels are rising quickly on the New Romney Sewage Arm due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include locations around the New Romney Sewage Arm, particularly on and around Coast Drive. Flooding is expected from 4:30 AM on 26/02/2024. Further heavy rainfall is forecast throughout this morning before clearing the area around 10am. River levels are expected to remain high, and the risk of flooding will remain throughout today 26/02/2024. We are clearing debris from weed screens in the area and we are liaising with emergency services and local authorities. We will continue to monitor the forecast. The Environment Agency has supplied additional pumping capacity at Greatstone Pumping Station to help draw the water level down. We continue to monitor the level and attend the site on a regular basis.

The Flood Warning for the New Romney Sewage Arm remains in force due to high water levels in the local drainage system following a week of high rainfall accumulations. The Environment Agency has supplied additional pumping capacity at Greatstone Pumping Station to help draw the water level down. We continue to monitor the level and attend the site on a regular basis. Drier weather is expected today and tomorrow which will assist the reduction in levels. Further rain is forecast for Wednesday 8 November 2023, we will continue to monitor the situation. This message will be reviewed tomorrow morning Tuesday 7th November 2023.

The Flood Warning for the New Romney Sewage Arm remains in force due to high water levels in the local drainage system following a week of high rainfall accumulations. The Environment Agency are in the process of supplying additional pumping capacity at Greatstone Pumping Station to help draw the water level down. We continue to monitor the level and attend the site on a regular basis. Drier weather is expected on Sunday 5 November, and then again on Monday and Tuesday this week. This will assist the reduction in levels.

Properties on and around Coast Drive in Greatstone are most at risk. The Environment Agency are supplying additional pumping capacity at Greatstone Pumping Station to help draw the water level down. We continue to monitor the level and attend the site on a regular basis. Drier weather is expected on Sunday through until Tuesday, which should allow water levels to fall throughout this period. River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of property, roads and low lying land is expected imminently today, Saturday 04/11/23. We expect flooding to affect properties on and around Coast Drive. Further rainfall is forecast today, clearing this evening. Sunday is expected to be dry. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow morning, Sunday 05/11/23. Please take action to protect yourself and your property. Our incident response staff have deployed pumps, people and equipment to Greatstone Pumping Station, and we are actively monitoring the situation.
