River Teise
Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 16 January 2026 from 1am. Locations most affected will be isolated properties on the outskirts of Marden. We are closely monitoring the situation . Start acting on your flood plan if you have one . Activate any flood protection products you may have. This message will be updated by 9:30AM on 16 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
River Teise
This Flood Warning will remain in force overnight tonight, Thursday 3 November 2022 and into tomorrow, Friday 4 November 2022. The Teise and the Lesser Teise remain high following the heavy rain earlier on Thursday. The river level is now receding sharply up at Lamberhurst and the peak is reaching Stonebridge and Spitz Bridge around 9pm on Thursday evening. There will be further heavy showers overnight tonight and these will keep river levels high in all locations. Any flood impacts should be confined to fields, footpaths and roads but showers could also generate localised surface water flooding. This message will be updated again by 8am on Friday 4 November 2022.
River Teise
River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall. Flooding of low lying property, roads and low lying land is expected from 13:00 onwards at Goudhurst on Thursday 3 November 2022. We expect flooding to affect isolated properties on the outskirts of Marden and Collier Street from late afternoon today. Further rainfall is forecast overnight, tonight Thursday 3 November 2022. We are continuing to monitor the situation and our incident response staff are out on the ground checking and clearing any blockages and debris from the rivers. This message will be updated by 20:00, or as the situation changes.
