Scrapsgate Drain, Warden Bay Drain
This Flood Warning was first issued yesterday. River levels are rising again as a result of heavy rainfall yesterday (Thursday 5 March). The rivers may also become tide-locked, high tide is due at approximately 9:30 this morning, Friday 6 March. Flooding of property is possible imminently. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties on and around Broadway Road near the Scrapsgate drain. Flooding of the community hall and holiday homes at Warden are also possible. The forecast for today is generally dry, however further rainfall is forecast over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident room is open. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and clearing trash screens. We will update this message by 5pm this afternoon, or as the situation changes.

Scrapsgate Drain, Warden Bay Drain
River levels in both the Scrapsgate Drain and Warden Bay Drain have peaked following the heavy rainfall experienced yesterday, Thursday 05/03/2020. Water levels in the drains are now below the level expected to directly contribute to flooding properties although standing flood waters will likely remain and roads and land could still be flooded. No further heavy rain is forecast in the next two days so water levels can be expected to continue to fall, although some further rises are possible around high tide when water may back up within the drains. We will continue to closely monitor the situation from our incident room, we have also had staff on the Isle of Sheppey checking for blockages. This message will be updated or removed by 10am today, Friday 06/03/2020.
