River levels remain high as a result of heavy rainfall since Thursday but are beginning to fall. The risk of flooding remains for the rest of today, Saturday 30 January 2021, and tomorrow. We expect flooding to affect properties on and around Broadway Road near the Scrapsgate Drain.
River levels peaked at 3pm today and are expected to continue falling slowly for the rest of the day. No further rainfall is forecast for today, Saturday 30 January, or tomorrow. River levels are likely to rise again with the next high tide, 2am tomorrow, Sunday 31 January.

River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall over the last two days. Flooding of property, roads and low lying land is expected from around midday today, 30 January. We expect flooding to affect properties on and around Broadway Road and Minster Park near the Scrapsgate Drain and areas on and near Warden Bay Road from the Warden Bay Drain.
Further rainfall is forecast until late afternoon today. We expect river levels to remain high this afternoon and begin to fall from tomorrow. Both Scrapsgate Drain and Warden Bay Drain can become tide-locked. High tide today is due at around 1:45pm.

Flooding is affecting properties on and around Broadway Road and Minster Park and other low lying areas. Water levels in the Warden Bay Drain have fallen and are no longer impacting properties directly. The weather forecast is expected to be dry until Saturday, so current water levels in the Scrapsgate Drain will continue falling slowly and flooding is expected to continue throughout Friday. Further rain is forecast for tomorrow, and river levels may rise again in response to this. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been working in the area clearing trash screens and supporting our partners. This Flood Warning was first issued yesterday. River levels are rising again as a result of heavy rainfall yesterday (Thursday 5 March). The rivers may also become tide-locked, high tide is due at approximately 9:30 this morning, Friday 6 March. Flooding of property is possible imminently. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties on and around Broadway Road near the Scrapsgate drain. Flooding of the community hall and holiday homes at Warden are also possible. The forecast for today is generally dry, however further rainfall is forecast over the weekend. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident room is open. Our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and clearing trash screens. We will update this message by 5pm this afternoon, or as the situation changes.

Scrapsgate Drain, Warden Bay Drain
River levels in both the Scrapsgate Drain and Warden Bay Drain have peaked following the heavy rainfall experienced yesterday, Thursday 05/03/2020. Water levels in the drains are now below the level expected to directly contribute to flooding properties although standing flood waters will likely remain and roads and land could still be flooded. No further heavy rain is forecast in the next two days so water levels can be expected to continue to fall, although some further rises are possible around high tide when water may back up within the drains. We will continue to closely monitor the situation from our incident room, we have also had staff on the Isle of Sheppey checking for blockages.
