Flood Alert has been issued due to a high tide forecast between tomorrow morning and afternoon, 18/11/24. High water levels are expected to affect the foreshore on the Coast from Whitstable to Margate. Tides will be at their highest between 10:00 and 16:00, with high tide expected at 13:45. Expect tides to be higher than usual. Flooding to the foreshore and low lying land is possible at these times, however these conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point. We are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. This message will be updated after 24 hours, 17:00 on 18/11/24, or as the situation changes. For those that use it, the astronomical level at 13:45 will be 3.09mAOD and the total water level will be 3.52mAOD.

Flood Alert has been issued due to a high tide forecast between tomorrow morning and afternoon, 17/11/24. High water levels are expected to affect the foreshore on the Coast from Whitstable to Margate. Tides will be at their highest between 10:00 and 15:00, with high tide expected at 13:00. Once the high tide this afternoon has passed conditions are expected to improve from 16:15 onwards. This Flood Alert remains in force due to the high tides expected tomorrow morning, 5th January at 1:45 and tomorrow afternoon at 14:15. These high tides are a result of the high spring tides and strong winds. The tide will be at its highest between 12:15 to 16:15 tomorrow afternoon. The current coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tide at 14:15 tomorrow, the 05/01/22. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and are prepared to respond if required. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. For those that use it, the astronomical water level for the 14:15 tide tomorrow recorded at Sheerness will be 3.05mAOD and the forecast total water level will be 3.81mAOD. This Flood Alert has been issued due to the high tide expected today, Tuesday the 4th of January, as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. Tides will be at their highest between 11:15 to 15:15 today, with high tide expected at 13:15. Areas of concern include low lying land nearest the sea. Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tide at 14:15 tomorrow, the 05/01/22. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our defences and structures and are prepared to respond if required. A large tidal surge is expected to affect the coast this afternoon as a result of low pressure in the North Sea. The tide will peak at 14:45 today Thursday 19/11/2020, however flood conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. We expect flooding to affect low lying land, promenades and coastal footpaths. Coastal conditions should ease for subsequent tides after this afternoon. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking and operating our defences and we are liaising with emergency services and our partners. This flood alert has been issued due to the high spring tides combined with large surge forecast for early Monday morning, 13th April 2020. There is the possibility for flooding of roads and low lying land between 3am and 6am tomorrow, 13th April 2020. Areas of concern include low lying land around Seasalter. Flooding of properties is not forecast at this point, however we will continue to monitor the situation and issue further messages if necessary. Coastal conditions are forecast to improve following this tide and no further alerts are expected to be issued in the coming days.
