A large tidal surge is expected to affect the foreshore as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. Tides will be at their highest between 12:00 and 14:00 today, 12/03/20 Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Areas affected are Lancaster Road from Oxcliffe Hill Farm to Heaton Bottom Road, Heaton and Bazil Point. Sunderland Brows Farm, Sunderland Point, First and Second Terrace, Alderley Bank, Potts Corner and Shorefields House and Caravan Park. Further warnings are currently forecast to be issued for subsequent high tides. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated this afternoon, 12/03/20 or as the situation changes.

Sunderland Brows Farm, Sunderland Point, First and Second Terrace, Alderley Bank, Potts Corner and Shorefields House and Caravan Park. A high spring tide with Force 5 Southwesterly winds is expected to affect the foreshore. Tides will be at their highest between 11:00 and 13:00 today, 11/03/20. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times. Conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Flooding is expected to affect Lancaster Road from Oxcliffe Hill Farm to Heaton Bottom Road, Heaton and Bazil Point. Sunderland Brows Farm, Sunderland Point, First and Second Terrace, Alderley Bank, Potts Corner and Shorefields House and Caravan Park. Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tide at 12:24 on 11/03/20 at Sunderland Point. The next high tide is also expected to reach the Flood Warning threshold. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. Flooding is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Areas affected include Lancaster Road from Oxcliffe Hill Farm to Heaton Bottom Road, Heaton and Bazil Point. Sunderland Brows Farm, Sunderland Point, First and Second Terrace, Alderley Bank, Potts Corner and Shorefields House and Caravan Park. We are closely monitoring the situation. Flood Warning has been issued tonight as a result of high Spring Tides. Tide Level will peak around 00:30 30/09/19. Flooding to properties/roads and farmland is expected at these times, however conditions may apply two either side of the high tide. Flooding is affecting Lancaster Road from Oxcliffe Hill Farm to Heaton Bottom Road, Heaton and Bazil Point. Sunderland Brows Farm, Sunderland Point, First and Second Terrace, Alderley Bank, Potts Corner and Shorefields House and Caravan Park. Sunderland Point is the area most at risk We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are clearing defences Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous. A Flood Warning is in force for the high tide at 12:45 on 04/01/2018, tidal spray and onshore flooding may occur to roads and some properties along the coast may be affected. People are warned to stay away from the coast. Environment Agency officers are on the ground ensuring defences are in good working order, monitoring sea levels and wind directions. We forecast a tide height of 6.2 mAOD in this location. High water can be expected for 2 hours before and after the peak. For conversion between AOD and local chart or port datums please check your tide tables. Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation and checking tidal defences. We currently forecast that the high tide at 01:09 on 05/01/18 will not be above the Flood Warning level. We will update this Warning with further information in due course.

A Flood Warning is in force for the high tide at 23:30 on 02/01/2018, tidal spray and onshore flooding may occur to roads and some properties along the coast may be affected. People are warned to stay away from the coast. Environment Agency officers are on the ground ensuring defences are in good working order, monitoring sea levels and wind directions. The tide is forecast to peak around 23:30. We forecast a tide height of 6.58 mAOD in this location. High water can be expected for 2 hours before and after the peak. For conversion between AOD and local chart or port datums please check your tide tables. Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation and checking tidal defences. We currently forecast that the high tide at midday on 03/01/18 will not be above the Flood Warning level. We will update this Warning with further information in due course.
