River Calder
High river levels and heavy rain overnight have caused flooding in some areas. Weather conditions are expected to improve from mid morning 01/01/2025 and river levels will then begin to gradually fall. We are closely monitoring the situation including rainfall and river levels. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.
River Calder
There is potential flooding from high river levels from 11:00 PM on 31/12/2024. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Calder, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Hole House Farm and properties on Calder Vale. River levels are expected to remain high overnight. We are closely monitoring the situation and clearing debris from weed screens. Activate any property flood protection products you may have. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 08:00 AM on 01/01/2025, or as the situation changes.
