River levels have risen at the Galgate river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property/roads and farmland is possible between 21:00 and 23:30 today, 01/11/20. Flooding is expected to affect areas adjacent to River Conder, Whitley Beck & Ou Beck in Galgate, including Main Road, Salford Road, Chapel Street and Leachfield Road We expect river levels to remain high until 06:00 on 02/11/20. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
