A large tidal surge is expected to affect the foreshore as a result of high spring tides and strong winds.
Wave and sea spray overtopping of sea walls and promenades is likely. Tides will be at their highest between 12:00 and 14:00 today, 12/03/20. Flooding to roads, coastal paths and low lying land is possible at these times. However, conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide. Flooding may affect low lying land, roads and coastal paths in Fleetwood, Larkholme, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Rossall Beach, Anchorsholme, Bispham, Blackpool and Revoe.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near the coast.

Tides will be at their highest between 23:00 on 11/03/20 and 01:00 on 12/03/20. Flooding to roads, coastal paths and low lying land is possible at these times.
However, conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide.
Flooding may affect low lying land, roads and coastal paths in Fleetwood, Larkholme, Broadwater, Cleveleys, Rossall Beach, Anchorsholme, Bispham, Blackpool and Revoe. Further warnings are currently forecast to be issued for subsequent high tides.

This Alert is for the high tide on the coast from Fleetwood to Blackpool at 23:30. People are advised to take additional care next to the coast and stay away from low lying land, roads and promenades. Significant spray and wave action is expected, there is also a risk of debris. High water levels can be expected 2 hours before and after the peak of the high tide. Environment Agency staff are monitoring the situation and checking tidal defences. An update will be issued if the situation changes. It is unlikely further Flood Alerts will be issued in this tide cycle. Detailed tidal information for those who use it; The forecast high tide level will peak at 6.07 mAOD. This alert is for the more prominent risk of wave overtopping rather than water level.
