Tide levels from Heysham to Cockerham are forecast to rise tonight as a result of high spring tides and strong winds. Tides will be at their highest around midnight Monday night 11/02/20. Flooding to roads and farmland is possible at these times, however conditions may apply two hours either side of the high tide. Areas affected include low lying land, roads and coastal paths at White Lund, Heysham Moss, south Heysham, Potts Corner, Sunderland Point, Thurnham, Cockersands Abbey, Bank Houses, Cockerham, Braides, Cockerham Moss and surrounding areas. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.
