Areas affected include low lying land and roads in Darwen, Blackburn, Higher Walton, Walton-le-Dale, Samlesbury, Preston, Fulwood, Cadley, Lea and Penwortham. High river levels are possible on the Rivers Ribble, Darwen and Blakewater, Savick Brook, Eaves Brook and Sharoe Brook and their tributaries. The River Ribble will peak around 23:30, 21/02/2020, and will remain high until tomorrow morning, 22/02/2020. High river levels are possible on the Rivers Ribble, Darwen and Blakewater, Savick Brook, Eaves Brook and Sharoe Brook and their tributaries. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. Heavy rainfall is expected across Lancashire during this evening and into the early hours of Wednesday 24th October. River levels are expected to peak in the Lower Ribble catchment on Wednesday 24th October at 4am . We do not expect river levels to exceed flood alert level and therefore we are not expecting to issue a flood warning in this area.
