We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties along Burnley Road between Riverside Park and Ashworth Road. We expect river levels to remain high throughout the weekend. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary. River levels have risen rapidly as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is imminent. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for properties along Burnley Road between Riverside Park and Ashworth Road. We expect river levels to remain high throughout Sunday 9th February 2020. The Flood Warning still remains in force, however the rivers are receding below the flood warning level and the worst of the rainfall has passed. Further Showers are expected in the early hours of the morning, though we do not expect the river levels to rise back up to Flood Warning. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the night and into tomorrow.
