Historical Flood Alert Messages for this Area

Flood Alert issued on 24 Oct 2017 15:58
Upper River Irwel
A band of heavy rain is expected to cross the area overnight and into the early hours of Wednesday. River levels rose slightly in response to rainfall earlier on Tuesday morning but have once again begun to fall. Catchments remain wet however, and we expect that river levels will rise in response to this further band of rain. Flood Warning levels are not expected to be reached at this time. Once this band of rain has cleared, the rest of Wednesday is expected to be dry which should allow river levels to fall once more. Be aware of your local surroundings and remain safe. We will continue to monitor and will update this message as the situation develops.
