"River levels have reacted at the Freemans Weir river gauge as a result of Storm BABET. Flooding continues. Areas most at risk are Braunstone including Amy Street. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 36 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services. Please plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and follow advice from emergency services.
