River levels are rising at the Whetstone river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding (of property) is imminent. Areas most at risk are Whetstone, including the Dicken Bridge, Brook Street, Wright Close, and Otter Way. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety. To check the status of road closures online, please visit the One Network live map. River levels are rising at the Whetstone river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is imminent. Areas most at risk are Whetstone, including the Dicken Bridge, Brook Street, Wright Close, and Otter Way. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow morning, 03/01/24. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area. Please avoid contact with flood water and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by tomorrow morning, 03/01/24, or as the situation changes.
