Low lying areas near to the River Waring are already flooded and we now expect properties immediately upstream of Stanhope Road in Horncastle to be affected this morning onwards. Levels in the River Bain are rising, and are expected to continue to rise throughout today, Saturday 6th February. We expect the river to peak in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 7th February. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads, and we now expect properties near the River Waring immediately upstream of Stanhope Road to be affected from the evening on Saturday 6th February onwards. Low lying properties near the River Waring are most at risk. Stay safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water.
