This is causing the Barlings Eau to rise, and is forecast to continue to rise through tonight and into tomorrow. Properties in the Low Barlings close to the Barlings Eau are expected to be affected first. Over the last few days there has been heavy rain over the Barlings Eau and River Witham catchment. There has been a breach on Marsh Drain which may result in localised property flooding near to Marsh Drain. River levels on the Barlings Eau and Witham remain high, but we do not currently expect widespread property flooding in the Low Barlings and Short Ferry area. Further rainfall is forecast for today, 10th November, and therefore river levels will remain high. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water.
