Low lying areas near to the River East Glen are already flooded and we now expect properties in the East Glen Valley to be affected. Low lying properties near the river on Spa Road in Braceborough are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 07/01/25, or before if the situation changes.

Heavy rain is currently falling in the River Glen catchment and will continue throughout the morning on Monday, January 6. This is causing River East Glen to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the early hours of the morning. Low lying areas near to the River East Glen are already flooded and we now expect properties in the East Glen Valley to be affected this morning onwards. Low lying properties near the river on Spa Road in Braceborough are expected to be affected first. Further heavy rainfall is forecast for the morning of Monday, January 6, and therefore river levels are likely to continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council.
