Low lying areas near to the River Tham are already flooded and we now expect properties in Castle Bytham and Little Bytham to be affected. Low lying properties close to the River Tham in Little Bytham are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine on 07/01/25, or before if the situation changes.

Heavy rain is currently falling in the River Glen catchment and will continue throughout the morning on Monday, January 6. This is causing River Tham to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the early hours of the morning. Low lying areas near to the River Tham are already flooded and we now expect properties in the Castle Bytham and Little Bytham to be affected this morning onwards. Low lying properties close to the River Tham in Little Bytham are expected to be affected first. Further heavy rainfall is forecast for the morning of Monday, January 6, and therefore river levels are likely to continue to rise. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. This is causing the River Tham to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through tonight and into tomorrow. Low lying areas near to the River Tham are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected from this afternoon onwards. Low lying properties near the River Tham in Little Bytham are expected to be affected first. The rainfall associated with Storm Henk has mostly fallen, but river levels will continue to rise overnight. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.
