No further heavy rainfall is forecast, however river levels will remain high. During periods of high tide, the river will be unable to discharge into the sea, resulting in tide lock conditions. This is likely to lead to localised flooding at Surfleet reservoir. This Flood Warning is now in force for the following tide lock period(s): From 21:00 on 07/02/2026 to 00:15 on 08/02/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation . Activate any flood protection products you may have . This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 08 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
