Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay
An updated FLOOD WARNING has been issued for Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay. A combination of high tides, strong winds and storm surge means that flooding from the sea is expected to low lying areas from the Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay. Low lying properties and roads in Kingston and Garmouth are also at risk, including the B9015 Kingston Road. Flooding is expected around the times of the high tides on Sunday at 00.00 GMT, Monday at 13.00 and Tuesday 01.00 GMT. Whilst weather conditions are improving during Monday the winds are changing to a westerly direction. This means there is still a risk of a potential risk of coastal flooding over the next three tides. An updated flood warning will be issued on Monday if conditions change. The flood risk is mainly from the River Spey, which will be rising during the night and not fall until Wednesday morning, but the flood risk may be worse around the times of the high tides around 11pm on Tuesday and 11am on Wednesday.
