Persistent rain over the past 36 hours has caused river levels to rise enough that there is now a risk of flooding to agricultural land, low lying properties and roads in the lower Nairn Valley between Cantraydoune and Nairn. The level of the river has risen in response and is now reaching levels where flooding is likely. Agricultural land, low lying properties and roads in the lower Nairn valley may be at risk of flooding between Cantraydoune and Nairn. River levels are not expected to peak until early on Saturday evening and until they do, conditions will continue to deteriorate.
