River levels on Bishop Monkton Beck at Bishop Monkton have risen as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Further light rainfall is forecast to continue into Sunday morning and river levels are expected to remain high until the rainfall has eased. The current river level is 0.545m and rising. Areas most at risk are properties along Fontein Terrace. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and do not walk or drive through fast moving water. We are continuing to monitor the situation with incident response staff actively checking river levels and the weather forecast. This message will be updated on the morning of Sunday 4.10.2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels are forecast to rise as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected this evening, Thursday 24/09/2020. Areas most at risk are properties along Fontein Terrace. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high on Friday 25/09/2020. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated in eight hours or as the situation changes.

This Flood Warning has been issued for Bishop Monkton Beck in Bishop Monkton. The river level has risen in response to heavy rainfall in the area this morning. The current level of the beck is 0.67 metres and is expected to continue to rise in response to continued rainfall in the area today. Low lying roads adjacent to the beck are reported to be flooding and there are also surface water issues affecting access to properties near the beck. Further rainfall is possible until mid afternoon on Tuesday, however this is not forecast to be as heavy as that seen this morning.
