The flood warning for the River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge remains in force. River levels have been dropping in the upper catchments, but are now rising due to local rainfall. Levels are not expected to rise much further or reach yesterday’s levels. We are not expecting large amounts of rainfall through today and expect to remove the flood warning later on. Areas at risk include Properties on both banks of the river including Red Lion Farm, Forge Cafe, Devonshire Cottages, The Devonshire Arms, Railway Cottages and properties near Beamsley Bridge. A flood warning remains in force for the River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge due to recent heavy rainfall. River levels have fallen since yesterday so the risk of flooding has reduced. A flood warning has been issued for the River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge. River levels are rising quickly. Areas most at risk include Properties on both banks of the river including Red Lion Farm, Forge Cafe, Devonshire Cottages, The Devonshire Arms, Railway Cottages and properties near Beamsley Bridge. Further rainfall is expected for the rest of Sunday 20/02/2022 and into tomorrow Monday 21/02/2022. We are monitoring river levels closely. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This flood warning has been issued as river levels are forecast to rise as a result of heavy rainfall on Sunday. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and land in Bolton Bridge is expected in the early hours of Monday 2nd November. The area at risk include properties on both banks of the river including Red Lion Farm, Forge Cafe, Devonshire Cottages and The Devonshire Arms. The River Wharfe is still rising upstream at Kettlewell, and at Netherside Hall it is currently expected to peak at up to 3.9m at around 3am. Please activate any property flood protection products you may have, such as flood barriers and air brick covers, and stay away from fast moving water. We are issuing the flood warning for the River Wharfe at Bolton Bridge due to heavy rain associated with Storm Ciara. Widespread heavy rain accompanied by high winds are forecast overnight on Saturday continuing into Sunday afternoon, 09/02/2020. River levels are rising at Netherside Hall and will continue to rise all along the Wharfe catchment into Sunday. The Wharfe level at Netherside Hall is currently 3.8m and is expected to peak early on Sunday afternoon. We are monitoring the situation closely. Our Incident Room is open, and operational staff are out clearing trash screens. We will update this message in 8 hours or as the situation changes.
