River Ouse
River levels remain high as a result of heavy rainfall on Saturday 16.03.19. Areas most at risk are the Ship Inn and adjacent properties. River levels on the river Ouse at York are now slowly falling, having peaked on Monday morning (18.3.2019) at just under 4m. The level at Naburn and Cawood is starting to fall but will remain high throughout today, Tuesday 19.3.19. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads and paths near rivers. The road outside the Ship Inn is currently under water. Our incident room in York is open and our staff are closely monitoring the situation and forecast. This message will be updated in 8 hours or as the situation changes.

River levels remain high as a result of heavy rainfall on Saturday 16.03.19. Areas most at risk are the Ship Inn and adjacent properties. River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk are the Ship Inn and adjacent properties. The current river Ouse level on the Viking recorder is just under 4m and expected to remain around this level for the rest of today and not rise significantly further (18.03.19). The level at Naburn and Cawood will also remain high throughout today. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads and paths near rivers. The road outside the Ship Inn is already under water.
