This warning has been updated with new forecast information. River levels have risen as a result of heavy rainfall associated with Storm Ciara. The level at the York Viking recorder is 4.3 metres and has now peaked. Access roads will begin to flood and water is expected to be against property at a level of 4.1m. Levels will remain high on Tuesday 11/2/2020. Areas most at risk are properties in Acaster Malbis. High tide is expected at Selby Westmill foods at around 09:30 on Tuesday morning 11/02/02020. River levels on the river Ouse at York are now slowly falling, having peaked on Monday morning (18.3.2019) at just under 4m. The level at Naburn and Cawood is starting to fall but will remain high throughout today, Tuesday 19.3.19. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads and paths near rivers.
