River levels on the River Wharfe will continue to fall overnight. Levels around Ilkley and Otley are returning to normal. The level at Tadcaster is falling steadily and will continue to fall during Monday 18.3.19. Our incident staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and stay away from fast moving water. Low lying land and roads are still at risk. River levels on the River Wharfe peaked earlier today at 11:00am. River levels at Collingham and Tadcaster are falling steadily. The level at Tadcaster is currently 2.8m (at 17:00). No further rise is forecast. Our incident staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and stay away from fast moving water. River levels on the Lower River Wharfe have risen as a result of heavy rainfall on Saturday 16.03.19. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible. River levels at Ilkley and Otley are falling. The levels around Wetherby peaked on Sunday morning at 7am and Tadcaster is forecast to slowly peak at noon on Sunday (17.03.19). Our incident staff are closely monitoring the situation. Please stay aware as we may need to issue flood warnings. River levels on the lower river Wharfe have risen as a result of heavy rainfall today Saturday 16.03.19. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is possible on Saturday evening and overnight. The current level at Ilkley is 1.15m and this is expected to rise steadily to a peak this evening (16.03.19). The levels around Wetherby and Tadcaster will also rise and are expected to peak overnight tonight and into Sunday (17.03.19) Our incident staff are closely monitoring the situation. This flood alert has been issued in response to heavy rainfall overnight from Friday into Saturday in the upper catchment. River levels upstream continue to respond to this rainfall, and this is starting to move into the lower catchment. The current level at Ilkley is 1.4m. River levels are expected to fluctuate, although further rises are expected with peak levels late Saturday evening. Further rain is expected in the upper catchment on Saturday which will result in fluctuations in the river levels downstream. Flood Warnings may still be required on Saturday and we will continue to monitor the situation and update this message accordingly.

This flood alert has been issued for the Lower River Wharfe because a weather system moving from the west will bring widespread heavy rain from mid-afternoon on Thursday 20/09/2018 until the early hours of Friday morning. Levels in the River Wharfe have been rising due to rainfall on Friday and Saturday morning in the Dales. Levels at Ilkley have peaked and are now falling. The levels at Pool are peaking and are expected to begin falling shortly. The levels at Collingham are forecast to peak at around 3.4m at approximately 9pm on Saturday. The level at Addingham is forecast to peak around 1.95m mid-afternoon on Saturday, with Ilkley reaching 2.25m shortly afterwards. Further downstream Pool is expected to peak around 3.35m after 4pm and Collingham is expected to peak just over 3.8m on Saturday evening.
