Heavy rain has fallen in the River Ise catchment. This has caused the River Ise to rise. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we expect properties to be affected as well. Low lying properties on Kelmarsh Road in Clipston are expected to be affected first. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. This is causing the River Ise to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the evening. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected this evening. Low lying properties on Kelmarsh Road in Clipston are expected to be affected first. The rising river levels have already caused flooding of low lying land and roads in and around Clipston, and due to the deteriorating weather conditions we now expect properties in Clipston to be affected, from this evening (23rd Dec) onwards. Low lying properties near the River Ise are most at risk. The river is forecast to continue to rise and peak overnight. The impacts are likely to last until tomorrow, and improve thereafter.
