Heavy rain has fallen in the upper River Nene catchment causing the river at Bugbrooke and Nether Heyford to rise. Further rain is forecast tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November. We expect levels to remain high for several days. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we expect properties to be affected. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated online and on FloodLine by Wednesday 27th November, or before if the situation changes.

This is causing the river at Bugbrooke and Nether Heyford to rise and is forecast to continue to rise through the night. Low lying areas near to the river are already flooded and we now expect properties to be affected. Further rain is forecast, and therefore river levels will remain high overnight. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. Please avoid contact with flood water. Our staff are out in the area to check the flood defences, clear blockages, and assist the emergency services and council.
