Property flooding is still possible. River levels are high on the River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall and the risk of property flooding remains. River levels in this area are now falling and we do not forecast the situation to deteriorate much further, however we do expect water to be out of banks in many areas and water to be in fields. We are expecting a mostly dry day today (16/11/2019). We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation, and our staff will be out in the area today. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but falling on the River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall and the risk of property flooding remains. We do not forecast the situation to deteriorate much further, levels have started to drop in Banbury. Further rainfall is forecast this evening with a mostly dry day tomorrow. We expect river levels to remain high over the next few days. We are closely monitoring the situation, and our staff have been out in the area today. Property flooding is expected. River levels are high but steady on the River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding (of property) is expected to continue. We do not forecast the situation to deteriorate much further, water levels may still rise slightly. Further light rainfall is forecast over the next few hours with a band of rain crossing the area this evening. We expect river levels to remain high over the next two days. Property flooding is possible. River levels are rising on the River Cherwell as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding (of property) is possible overnight. We are not expecting property flooding except for those closest to the river. Peak levels will be similar to the flooding in March 2016. No further rainfall is forecast tonight (14/11/2019) with a few showers tomorrow. We expect river levels to remain high over the coming days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing weed/trash screens. Please move family, pets and valuables to safety and avoid contact with flood water.
