Further property flooding is no longer expected. River levels are high on the River Cherwell due to high river levels flowing downstream from the upper catchment. Levels are now falling but we expect levels to remain high over the coming days. Further light rainfall is forecast overnight with a mostly dry day tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid contact with flood water. Further property flooding is no longer expected. River levels have risen on the River Cherwell due to high river levels flowing downstream from the upper catchment. Levels have stabilised over night and we expect to see levels fall through today. The forecast today is mostly dry. We are closely monitoring the situation. Property flooding is expected. River levels have risen on the River Cherwell and are continuing to rise tonight due to high river levels flowing downstream from the upper catchment. Therefore, flooding of property is expected in the early hours of Sunday morning 17/11/19. Levels are going to be similar to December 2012 and February 2014. The weather forecast is mostly dry overnight and into tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are operating weirs to reduce flood risk.
