Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected to continue overnight 27/11/2024. Areas most at risk are properties located on Nash Drive, Meadowside and Chaunterell Way. This evening and overnight are forecast to be mainly dry. River levels are expected to continue to rise today but start to level off later in the week. Levels remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again in response to forecast rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Areas most at risk are properties located closest to the River Ock on Mill Paddock, Orpwood Way, St Helens Mill, Nash Drive. The forecast is for a predominantly dry night with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024) into Wednesday. River levels are expected to continue to rise over the coming hours before stabilising early tomorrow morning and then starting to fall. Therefore, flooding of property has already occurred but wider flooding impacts are imminent. Peak levels will be higher than January 2024, however they will be significantly lower than July 2007. Chauntrelle Way, Orpwood Way and Nash Drive are the most vulnerable. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours.
