Property flooding is expected.
River levels are rising on the River Thames as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of property is expected tomorrow morning, 23/12/2019. We expect flooding to affect properties along River Gardens. Peak levels will be similar to the flooding in November 2000.
Further heavy rain is not forecast today (22/12/19) or tomorrow, but there is a chance of showers which may be heavy at times on 24/12/19. We expect river levels to continue rising over the next couple of days as water moves through the river system.

River Thame
Property flooding is expected.
River levels are high on the River Thame as a result of prolonged rainfall over the past few days.
Levels are forecast to continue slowly rising as water discharges from the Upper Thame catchment. Maximum levels in Dorchester are expected to be almost as high as those in November and December 2009. We have one report that a property flooded on the High Street in that event. Properties closest to the river may need to take precautionary measures and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.
Further spells of rainfall is forecast over the next couple of days. Levels are currently forecast to continue slowly rising. Maximum levels are expected to be similar to those in December 2012 with similar impacts on the ground.
