Shill Brook

Property flooding remains possible. River levels are high but falling on the Shill Brook following heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads remains possible overnight, 25/11/2024, especially in the Mill Green road area. The forecast is predominantly dry overnight with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024) into Wednesday. River levels are expected to continue to drop slowly overnight but remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week in response to forecast rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated tomorrow morning, 26/11/2024, or as the situation changes.

Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising on the Shill Brook as a result of heavy rainfall from Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of property and roads is expected this evening and overnight, 24/11/2024, especially in the Mill Green road area. Further rainfall is forecast overnight which should clear by the morning. We expect river levels to continue rising overnight before stabilising tomorrow morning. We are closely monitoring the situation. Move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.
