Property flooding is possible.
River levels have been rising on the Ginge Brook this morning as a result of rainfall last night. Therefore, flooding of property is possible this morning 18/02/24, especially in the Steventon area. We do not expect peak levels to be as high as seen in January. Today and Monday will be mostly dry, with a few showers here and there. River levels are expected to peak by mid morning.
Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 18/02/24, or as the situation changes.

Property flooding is expected. River levels are currently falling on the Ginge Brook following recent rainfall. Flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected today, 05/01/2024, especially in the areas closest to the river in Steventon. Properties most at risk include those on Kennel Lane and Pembroke Lane. This morning is forecast to be mainly dry, followed by further showers this evening and overnight which have the potential to be heavy at times. We expect river levels to continue falling today, but will remain sensitive to further rainfall. We are monitoring the situation. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Property flooding is expected. River levels are rising rapidly on the Ginge Brook as a result of heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected within the next hour 04/01/2024, especially in the areas closest to the River in Steventon. Properties most at risk include those on Kennel Lane and Pembroke Lane. Further rainfall which may be heavy is forecast to move through the area overnight, 04/01/2024, clearing in the early hours of Friday, before conditions become drier into the weekend. We expect river levels to continue rising rapidly over the next hour. We are monitoring the situation. Activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Be aware of flooded roads, do not drive through floodwater. The risk of property flooding has reduced.
River levels have started to fall on the Ginge Brook over the last few hours. Therefore, flooding (of property) is reducing in the Stevenson area.
Further showers are forecast overnight and on Monday. The brook will be responsive to further rainfall. We expect river levels to remain high in the area.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff have been in the area clearing trash screens. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and move family, pets and cars to safety. This message will be updated in the morning, 17/02/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen on the Ginge Brook as a result of heavy rainfall over the last few hours. Therefore, flooding (of property) is imminent, especially in the Steventon area.
Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 18 hours. We expect river levels to remain high for the next few days.
