Flooding of property and roads remains possible through today, 25/11/2024. Areas most at risk are High Street, Milton Lane, Kennel Lane, The Causeway, Barnett Road, Abingdon Road, St Michaels Way, Stonebridge Road, Franks Lane and Milton Mill. The forecast is predominantly dry today with further rainfall forecast from tomorrow night (26/11/2024). Levels are expected to continue dropping through today but remain sensitive to further rainfall and may rise again later in the week. Our staff are liaising with councils and emergency services. Levels have started to fall through the day today 24/11/24 but have now risen again following heavy rain through the day. Therefore, flooding of property and roads remains possible. Areas most at risk are High Street, Milton Lane, Kennel Lane, The Causeway, Barnett Road, Abingdon Road, St Michaels Way, Stonebridge Road, Franks Lane and Milton Mill. Levels this evening are forecast to peak higher than levels last night, and higher than levels in January 2024, and therefore additional property flooding is possible. Therefore, flooding of property is possible this morning 18/02/24, especially in the Steventon area. We do not expect peak levels to be as high as seen in January. Today and Monday will be mostly dry, with a few showers here and there. River levels are expected to peak by mid morning. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. Further rainfall which may be heavy is forecast to move through the area overnight, 04/01/2024, clearing in the early hours of Friday, before conditions become drier into the weekend.
