River levels have peaked but are still high at the Buildwas river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue. We expect flooding to affect property on Buildwas Road, downstream of Buildwas Bridge. Buildwas gauge peaked at 6.65m this morning, 23/02/22. We expect river levels to remain high for several days. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded and avoid contact with flood water.
