Flood Warning issued on 16 Feb 2020 09:08
River Aller
Storm Dennis has brought widespread and heavy rainfall throughout Saturday and Sunday morning, particularly over the high ground of Exmoor. Catchments are saturated, and all rivers in the West Somerset area remain highly responsive to rainfall. Following a heavier band of rain in the early hours of Sunday, the River Aller has risen again above Flood Warning level but has now peaked. This continues to bring a risk of flooding to Piles Mill on Sunday, 16/02/20, and potentially to vulnerable properties adjacent to and upstream of the Packhorse Bridge.
Field teams are out clearing debris screens and checking gullies and local flood defences. Incident teams are monitoring river levels very closely. Please be aware in case further flood warnings are issued this weekend. This message will be updated tomorrow, Monday, 17/02/20, or as the situation changes.

Consequently, flooding is forecast from 16:00 today, Saturday 15/02/20 at Piles Mill.
