River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall last night. Consequently, flooding of property is forecast this afternoon from 12:30 p.m. onwards. We expect flooding to affect roads and property in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and overtopping is forecast for the river at Baltonsborough. We expect river levels to remain high throughout Saturday and we are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are out clearing weed screens and checking flood defences. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded, and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated on Sunday 01/03/2020, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen to flood warning at the Lovington river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall yesterday and overnight. Consequently, flooding of properties low lying land and roads is possible from 07:30 this morning 15/01/20. Most at risk are properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury that are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream; Properties at Baltonsborough at risk from the River Brue and Properties at Catsham. Roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road are likely to flood. No further rainfall is forecast today and we expect river levels to begin falling later this morning. We are closely monitoring the situation. This message will be updated as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge after heavy rainfall last night. Consequently, flooding could occur this morning, Saturday 21/12/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding of roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and from the Brue and Mill Stream at Baltonsborough. A further band of rainfall is forecast this afternoon and evening, Saturday 21/12/19, clearing in the early hours of Sunday. We expect river levels to respond again to the rain later today. We will closely monitor the situation to see if levels remain above Flood Warning later today and tomorrow. Our incident response staff are checking river channels and flood defences. Please move family, pets, cars and possessions to safety, and avoid contact with flood water. This message will be updated on Saturday afternoon, 21/12/19, or as the situation changes.

River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall today. Consequently, flooding could occur later this evening and into the early hours of Friday, 20/12/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding of roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and from the Brue and Mill Stream at Baltonsborough. Further rainfall is forecast overnight on Thursday 19/12/19 into the early hours of Friday. We expect river levels to remain high until the morning of Friday 20/12/19. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking river channels and defences, and clearing debris. Please move family, pets and cars to safety, move possessions and valuables off the ground, and avoid contact with flood water. River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall today, 22/11/2019. Consequently, flooding of property is forecast this evening. We expect flooding to affect roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough. Further rainfall is forecast overnight on Friday and into Saturday. We expect river levels to remain high and responsive to this additional rain during this period. We are closely monitoring the situation. River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Lovington river gauge as a result of the rainfall over the past 24 hours. Consequently, the risk of flooding remains. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please take photographs of any flood damage and contact your insurance company if you've been flooded. River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of persistent overnight and this morning's rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected from 01:00 pm today, 13/10/19. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough. We expect river levels to rise throughout today 13/10/19. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are checking defences. Please stay aware in case further warnings are issued and take photographs of any flood damage. Following the rain yesterday, Tuesday 18/12/2018, levels on the River Brue between Lovington and Highbridge have continued to rise. The river at Lovington has reached the level for Flood Warning for this stretch of river. It is likely to peak in the next hour at just above the flood warning level. The rain has generally passed out of the area. Flooding is likely to affect roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping is possible at Baltonsborough. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. We have teams checking the rivers and structures in the area, such as any blockage at debris screens, culverts, bridges and sluices. Occasional heavy showers are forecast through tonight and Wednesday daytime, 19/12/2018. We will be closely monitoring the situation and this message will be updated as the situation changes.

Conditions are now easing however persistent rainfall earlier today has caused rivers to respond. Further light rain is likely overnight. River levels on the River Brue at Lovington and River Brue at Clyse Hole are rising as a result of this rain.

River levels on the River Brue at Lovington and River Brue at Clyse Hole are rising in response to the rainfall, they are expected to cross the flood warning criteria and will peak later this evening. This band of heavy rain is due to clear out of the area this evening, however further rain is forecast in the early hours of Monday morning. Flooding is expected to affect roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping is expected at Baltonsborough. We are monitoring river levels and will update this message when the situation changes.

River levels on the River Brue at Lovington and River Brue at Clyce Hole are forecast to peak about 03:00 on Wednesday morning 27/12/2017 around the Flood Warning level. Flooding is possible and may affect roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping expected at Baltonsborough.
