Areas forecast to be affected include roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford, and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream overtopping, and river overtopping at Baltonsborough is expected.
The forecast is predominantly dry for the remainder of Sunday, and although river levels are still high, we expect them to continue falling during this period. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels closely, and staff are checking rivers in the area.

River Brue, Glastonbury Millstream
River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of the rain accompanying Storm Christoph.
Consequently, there is a possibility of flooding of riverside properties and roads for properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road, and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough.
We expect river levels to peak over the next few hours. The heaviest rain has passed but some showers will remain this morning, 21/01/21.
Our incident response staff have checked and cleared weed screens. We are closely monitoring the situation.
Please consider installing property flood resilience equipment and plan routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.

River levels have risen above Flood Warning threshold as a result of the overnight heavy rain brought by Storm Bella.
Consequently, flooding of roads, paths and land is expected, and riverside properties are at risk too. Areas most at risk are roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough.
Given that the heaviest rain has mainly passed through, river levels are expected to peak over the next few hours; although scattered showers will continue.
Our incident response staff have been out clearing weed screens in the daytime and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Please consider installing property flood resilience equipment and other flood plan measures, including avoiding low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.

River Brue, Glastonbury Millstream
River levels in the River Brue at Lovington peaked around 04:00 on Sunday morning before falling and are currently below levels of concern. However a band of rain, similar to Saturday, is forecast during Sunday before drier weather in the evening. Further showers are forecast during Monday and Tuesday.
The River Brue may respond to the forecast rainfall and this flood warning remains in force as a precaution for the properties on Dyehouse Lane and low lying properties in Baltonsborough. Road flooding is possible in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking our flood defence equipment and clearing weed screens.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded.

We believe there is a possibility of flooding for roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough.
Further showery rainfall, heavy at times, is forecast throughout Sunday and we expect river levels to remain high during Sunday.

River levels have risen at the Lovington river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall last night. Consequently, flooding of property is forecast this afternoon from 12:30 p.m. onwards. We expect flooding to affect roads and property in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and overtopping is forecast for the river at Baltonsborough. We expect river levels to remain high throughout Saturday and we are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are out clearing weed screens and checking flood defences. River levels have risen to flood warning at the Lovington river gauge as a result of persistent rainfall yesterday and overnight. Consequently, flooding of properties low lying land and roads is possible from 07:30 this morning 15/01/20. Most at risk are properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury that are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream; Properties at Baltonsborough at risk from the River Brue and Properties at Catsham. Roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road are likely to flood.
No further rainfall is forecast today and we expect river levels to begin falling later this morning.

We believe there is a possibility of flooding of roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and from the Brue and Mill Stream at Baltonsborough. A further band of rainfall is forecast this afternoon and evening, Saturday 21/12/19, clearing in the early hours of Sunday. We expect river levels to respond again to the rain later today. We believe there is a possibility of flooding of roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury are at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream, and from the Brue and Mill Stream at Baltonsborough. Further rainfall is forecast overnight on Thursday 19/12/19 into the early hours of Friday. We expect river levels to remain high until the morning of Friday 20/12/19.
