The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 6.16m and is falling. We are continuing to pump water from the moors at Currymoor, Northmoor, Saltmoor and Stanmoor pumping stations, and will continue to do so whilst river levels allow. The strong winds associated with Storm Darragh will ease during Sunday. Mainly dry weather is forecast for today, with the possibility of a few showers. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.23m and is falling. Water will enter Currymoor reservoir via Hookbridge spillway if this level exceeds 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 6.29m and is stable. We are continuing to pump water from the moors at Currymoor, Northmoor, Saltmoor and Stanmoor pumping stations, and will continue to do so whilst river levels allow. Storm Darragh will continue to bring very strong winds during Saturday. There is also the chance of showers, but total rainfall is expected to be low, with minimal river level response. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.503m and is falling slowly. Water will enter Currymoor reservoir via Hookbridge spillway whilst this level exceeds 7.45 m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.505m. There is a risk of water overtopping Haymoor flood storage area and affecting Curload and Stan Moor if this level reaches 8.30 m. Pumping is taking place at Saltmoor and Northmoor pumping stations. Pumping at Currymoor station will commence when levels in the River Tone allow. The river levels on the River Tone at Currymoor and River Parrett at Langport Westover pumping station remain high. However, dry weather is forecast over the weekend and it is hoped both rivers will continue to fall. Both New Road and Cutts Road remain closed but the A361 is open. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.33 m and is rising by approximately 20 mm per hour. Pumping is taking place at Saltmoor and Northmoor pumping stations. Pumping at Currymoor station will commence when levels in the River Tone allow. The River Tone at Currymoor and River Parrett at Langport Westover pumping station remain high. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is currently 7.15m and is falling slowly but is expected to rise again in response to rainfall. Water will enter Currymoor reservoir via Hookbridge spillway if this level exceeds 7.45 m. The drain at Currymoor pumping station is 7.26m. Athelney spillway is still running very slightly. We do not expect any impacts to the A361. We have two automatic pumps running at Currymoor Pumping Station, as well as all pumps running at Saltmoor and Northmoor pumping stations. The two Currymoor pumps will run while river Tone levels allow, to avoid water spilling back into the Moor. We are closely monitoring levels in the Tone and Currymoor.
