Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected from the morning of 27 January 2026 . Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Doniford Stream, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. Areas most at risk include Roebuck Gate to Sampford Brett Bridge, including Water Bridge, Kingswood, Cottiford and riverside properties at Sampford Brett. We are closely monitoring the situation . Doniford Stream
The river levels are continuing to rise on the Doniford Stream due to significant rainfall during today, Sunday, 25/02/2024. Flooding is possible from around 7:30pm tonight. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Doniford Stream, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Roebuck Gate to Sampford Brett Bridge, including Water Bridge, Kingswood, Cottiford and riverside properties at Sampford Brett. The rainfall is expected to continue into this evening, but drier weather is forecast for Monday and Tuesday. We will continue to monitor the rainfall and water levels closely. Consider acting on your flood plan if you have one, and activating any property flood protection products you have.
