River levels remain high following heavy rain overnight and on Sunday morning, and they continue to respond to the heavy rain falling this afternoon. Consequently, flooding is expected throughout Sunday 24/11/2024.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Isle, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties at Sea, the A358 south of Donyatt, the B3168 at Ilford Bridges and the Isle Brewers to Fivehead road.
River levels are currently rising again, having dropped this morning, and are forecast to peak late afternoon into the early evening on Sunday. We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels.

River levels continue to rise on the River Isle, due to heavy rain this afternoon and this evening.
Flooding is expected at properties at Sea, the A358 south of Donyatt, the B3168 at Ilford Bridges and the Isle Brewers to Fivehead road this evening.
Further heavy rain is forecast this evening, clearing the area around midnight. River levels are only expected to drop after this time. Friday and the weekend are expected to be largely dry. We are monitoring the situation closely, and our incident response staff have been out checking rivers in the area for blockages.
Consider activating any property flood protection products you may have, and start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.

The level on the River Isle at Donyatt has now fallen to normal winter levels but the River Isle remains high at Ashford Mill but has begun to fall. Even though the situation is improving, this flood warning will remain in force during Thursday due to the high water levels. Areas at risk include properties at Sea, the A358 south of Donyatt, the B3168 at Ilford Bridges and the Isle Brewers to Fivehead road.
The heavy rainfall has now passed out of the area and minimal rain is forecast for the next few days. We will continue to monitor the situation and our incident response staff are clearing weed screens. Please keep any property flood resilience equipment in place.
