Flooding will affect the road between Muchelney and Langport if this level exceeds 7.30m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Thorney road above 7.93m, and the Muchelney to Drayton road above 8.80m. Property flooding is expected at drain levels above 8.35m. We are pumping at Huish Episcopi and Westover pumping stations, and we are using the Parrett Relief Channel to reduce river levels. The forecast is for dry cold weather through this week, and we expect to maximise pumping operations throughout this period, to clear as much water from the moors as possible. We are monitoring the situation closely. Please do not attempt to drive or walk through flood water, and refer to @TravelSomerset for local road closures. Flooding will affect the road between Muchelney and Langport if this level exceeds 7.30m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Thorney road above 7.93m, and the Muchelney to Drayton road above 8.80m. Property flooding is expected at drain levels above 8.35m. Levels on the River Yeo have fallen, allowing pumping to commence at Huish Episcopi pumping station. We are also pumping at Westover pumping station and continue to use the Parrett Relief Channel to further reduce levels. We will continue pumping to evacuate water from the Moors, as river levels allow. The forecast is for dry, cold weather through this week, although light showers are possible later today. Flooding will affect the road between Muchelney and Langport if this level exceeds 7.30m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Thorney road above 7.93m, and the Muchelney to Drayton road above 8.80m. Property flooding is expected at drain levels above 8.35m. Dry and cold conditions are forecast into next week. We are currently unable to pump at stations upstream of Langport due to continuing high river levels, however we have now been able to open the Parrett Relief Channel to help reduce these.
