River levels have fallen since the heavy rain from Monday night into Tuesday. Today, Wednesday 28 January 2026, the weather has brought much less rain and this drier weather is forecast to carry on for much of tomorrow, Thursday, interspersed with showers. There is a further band of heavy rain forecast tomorrow evening, which will cause the rivers to rise again, though they are not forecast to get as high as they did on Tuesday. We are very aware that significant flooding occurred in communities such as Bathpool, Ruishton and Creech St Michael. Therefore we are keeping this Warning in force to reflect the conditions that people have experienced and keep you updated. We will keep reviewing this Warning in the coming days as necessary to reflect the weather conditions and any forecast rise in the rivers. We are closely monitoring the situation, and our staff continue to check rivers for blockages. Please stay safe and vigilant, and look out for updates to this Warning.
